Kronstadt Technologies unveiled the first Russian medium altitude long endurance (MALE) class unmanned aerial system (UAS) prototype, during the MAKS 2017 airshow, reports the official website of the company.

This is the first drone fully designed in Russia and made of domestic components. It is also the first one capable of flying continuously for 24 hours.

This development brings Russia to the new level of technologies, according to the company representatives. The company realizes the importance of this achievement in the context of technological independence of the country, including its export potential in this field, stated Armen Isaakyan, Kronstadt Group Director General. 

Besides unmanned aerial systems the company also designs offshore and onshore robotic systems and sees a great potential in them, added Isaakyan.
