An aerobatic team of UAV pilots named the Suvorov Strizhi (Swifts) was established on the basis of the Suvorov Military School in St. Petersburg. The first training flight of UAVs was performed at the airfield of the Western Military District in Leningrad Oblast, the representative of the Western Military District reported.

During training the students practiced simultaneous take-offs and landings, compound and advanced aerobatic maneuvers such as rolls, half-loops and dead loops. The Suvorov Strizhi team operates drones made by themselves. These are models of domestic military airplanes manufactured in different years.

Military pilots of the Western Military District took part in the field training of the team. They told students of the Suvorov School about airspace separation, air traffic management and regulations. Regular officers, who pilot military drones, taught the students how to excel in the flight management.
